When I was expecting my first child, I tried to put together a wish list so friends and family would know what we actually needed. Every tool I found was built for the US or UK market. They either didn't work properly in Finland, pulled product information from stores nobody here shops at, or had privacy practices that didn't meet EU standards. The closest option was an Amazon wish list, which I used reluctantly. I didn't trust it for the things I actually wanted to buy locally.

I gave up and hoped for the best.

It kept bothering me that this didn't exist in Finland. Nordic families deserve a tool built for the way people shop here and that doesn't sell their data. Not a tool that assumes everyone buys everything from one American warehouse.

I'm not a software developer, but I am an engineer. I have a masters in mechanical engineering and have spent my career managing programs where things genuinely cannot fail. I approached building Wishper the same way. When AI tools finally made it possible to build this without a development team, I knew how to think about security, reliability, and getting the details right.

Wishper runs entirely on EU infrastructure. Your data stays in Europe. That wasn't an afterthought, it was the starting point.

I've lived in Helsinki for over five years. I work full time and have a family. I built this because I needed it and it didn't exist.
